In my sector, these principles are not abstract concepts; they are tangible, everyday engineering challenges.
A 20-ton rotor blade that can be repaired instead of replaced spares tonnes of composite material and saves thousands of hours of manufacturing energy.
A blade that can be remanufactured or reused extends a wind turbine’s lifespan — and its return on investment — without generating additional carbon costs.
And rethinking the entire process, from inspection techniques to repair methods, is what truly drives innovation.
The 6R philosophy is not only an environmental commitment; it is also a statement of technical intelligence and economic efficiency.
In a world that often treats “green” as a marketing colour, the 6Rs remind us that genuine sustainability is not proclaimed — it is engineered, one repaired blade at a time.
