These are common-sense management rules.
Would you consider them appropriate also in your private life?
1) Do not expect to be undestood, expect to be misunderstood.
2) Work on the things no one else can do and delegate the rest (… and let your friends, family help you with the rest).
3) Clarify roles on your team (… your family, your friends …).
4) Make feedback part of your team’s collaboration (… your family, your friends …).
5) Plan a change and communicate “why” it is happening.
6) Let people know you. Do not pretend to be someone else.
7) Hire for the right attitude, not just for the CV (or build a friendship for the right attitude …).
8) Say “goodbye” if it does not work.
